Turkmenistan Airlines is the flag carrier of Turkmenistan, headquartered in Ashgabat. The airline connects its home base of Ashgabat with destinations in Russia, Europe and Asia. In 2012, the airline carried 57.5 thousand passengers to 19 international destinations and 90 thousand passengers on domestic routes per month. This translates into 1.77 million passengers per year.
History
Turkmenistan Airlines was founded in 1992. In 1993, the airline became a full member of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Since 2001, the airline has been phasing out its aging Soviet-era fleet to make way for a modern Boeing fleet. In 2013 Turkmenistan Airlines opened regular passenger flights to Lviv, Donetsk, Riga, and to Paris.

Services
All international flights of Turkmenistan Airlines are operated with two-class configuration Boeing aircraft (Economy and Business Class). Each passenger has the right to take free of charge established weight of baggage corresponding to class of service. The hand baggage weight should not exceed 5 kg, and its maximum dimensions should not exceed 50 x 40 x 20 cm.
